Derek Mortimer is married to Fiona Mortimer and they live in Aberdeen, Scotland. Derek is a self-employed Debt Counsellor and Fiona a Data Audit Officer with Grampian Police. They have twin girls: Erin and Neve who were born in November 2006. In January 2010 Neve was diagnosed as having Ring 18 Mosaic and presently (December 2011) there are only other 2 known cases worldwide: one in France and one in Brazil.
